For a man’s ways are before the eyes of the LORD,
and he ponders all his paths. (Proverbs 5:21 ESV)
Do you ever get the feeling that someone’s watching you? Well, the truth is, someone is watching. Who? God Almighty, the great I AM.
God is all-powerful, He is all-knowing and He is everywhere. He sees everything.
Truthfully, this should make us fearful, ashamed and embarrassed. After all, God is watching us. He sees our temper tantrums, He sees our selfish sulking and He sees when we try to break in line at the coffee shop. He sees when we are ashamed of Him. He sees all.
But this isn’t like some creepy Santa Clause watching us and knowing if we are awake or asleep. This is God Almighty. When He sees us sin, He is watching us perform wrong against Him. He is seeing us act as His enemy.
God knows us. He sees us. Our words, deeds and thoughts aren’t hidden from Him. There is good news, though. For those of us in a relationship with His Son, for those of us who personally know Jesus Christ, we are in a loving, eternal relationship with this God Almighty. For those in Christ, there is no condemnation.
Think about this today. God Almighty is watching. Therefore, let us praise Him!
Amen and amen.
